romans 8:12-17

for if you live by its dictates you will die.

but if through the power of the spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature you will live.

for all who are led by the spirit of God are children of God.

so you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.

instead you received God’s spirit when He adopted you as His own children.

now we call Him abba father.

for His spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

and since we are His children we are His heirs.

in fact together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.

but if we are to share His glory we must also share His suffering.

yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later.

I did an extra verse I’m sure you can forgive me for it.

I love the fact  that God sees us as His kids even if we’ve messed up so long as we keep on fessing up and maintain that place of purity with Him.

if we are thinking and doing things that are loving and honouring to each other then we are walking in His spirit.

we are not slaves to fear but we are slaves to righteousness.

slaves to unholy fear do not choose to become slaves but slaves to righteousness adopt it as their lifestyle and see it as the only choice worth making.

I love the fact that I can call the maker of the universe my daddy.

that is what abba means.

its amazing to think that God’s spirit is connecting with ours the second we surrender control of our mind body and soul into His mighty hands.

we have full access to all the treasure that Christ owns in His kingdom.

those streets of gold, all the blessings of dwelling in HIs perfection belong to us.

healthy bodies that will not rot in their glorified form, a life free of worries about who is gonna jump you for your sneaks or who is gonna hassle you to take drugs or who is gonna bug you for cash the minute you get in the money are all gone the instant we look into His eyes when He opens up the  gates of paradise for us.

if we want to taste and see His glorious goodness and obtain His treasure for ourselves we must be prepared to lay down our lives for the sake of His kingdom.

it’s getting to the stage where just saying Jesus is cool is risking a talking to from the principal thanks to a new order from education queensland.

we are facing parents and teachers coming under pressure to tow the line and teach that kids are not bound to play out the role of the gender they were born with which leaves kids confused about their sexuality.

we face a situation in some states like Victoria where Christian education has completely been pulled out of public schools and where kids have nowhere to go to hear the truth unless they come from a Jesus loving home.

sometimes you think the church would be the one place you could turn to hear the truth about sexuality but there are some in the church who think it doesn’t matter what gender you prefer to identify yourself as or who you choose to sleep with or whether you believe in a false religion or the only true one.

these churches are not going to  experience the glory of God cos they are unwilling to share in HIs suffering.

we do not go out looking for trouble but when trouble comes like peter says we are prepared to give a witness of what we believe and why we believe it.

when we are in the middle of our suffering when life becomes hard to bear because we are struggling to adopt a new identity as a child of God instead of a child of satan we must remember the glorious treasure awaiting us beyond this life.

we must keep our eyes focussed on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

we must not allow temptation or mockery to deter us from becoming everything God wants us to be or inhibit us from experiencing the richness of HIs splendid inheritance waiting for us when we die or when He returns.

❤ 🙂 can’t wait to celebrate with all my homies and mates grabbing a plate at Gods wedding feast how about you ?
